*The Deutschland-Ticket, also known as 49-Euro Ticket, allows you to travel throughout Germany on all means of public transport. It entitles you to travel in second class on local and regional transport (local passenger transport, Linienbus, TaxiBus, Straßenbahn, S-Bahn, RRX, RB and RE.) Travel on IC (Intercity), EC (Eurocity) or ICE (Intercity-Express) trains as well as on long-distance buses or trains is not permitted. The Deutschland-Ticket is a season ticket in the form of a personalized ticket that is only valid with a name entry and an accompanying and officially valid photo ID. It is not a monthly travel pass. The Deutschland-Ticket can be cancelled by the 10th day of the current month for the following month.

Important Information:
Our goodride app will be discontinued on September 30, 2025

Sometimes a journey comes to an unexpected end. Unfortunately, we have to inform you today that the goodride app will be discontinued. Starting from September 1, 2025, the app’s functions will be gradually restricted, and on September 30, 2025, the operation will be completely terminated. We have put a lot of dedication into developing a comprehensive and attractive mobility offer for employees and travelers — an offer that could have made an important contribution to promoting intermodal and sustainable mobility in Germany.

However, high costs due to the dynamic market environment, complex structures in public transport (ÖPNV), and uncertain perspectives regarding mobility data currently do not provide a reliable basis for further investments.

What does this mean for your existing Deutschland-Ticket subscription:

  • Your Deutschland-Ticket remains valid until September 30, 2025, inclusive. Your September ticket will be issued starting August 17, 2025.
  • If you do not wish to continue using it, you can cancel by September 10, 2025, at the latest.
  • If you do not cancel, your subscription will automatically be terminated by our system on September 10, 2025.
  • If you want to continue using a Deutschlandticket, we recommend switching to another provider, e.g., our partner Kölner Verkehrs-Betriebe AG.

How to cancel your subscription:

  1. Open the goodride app.
  2. Go to “My Profile” > “My Subscriptions” > “Subscription Details.”
  3. Select the option to cancel.

What happens to your data and travel records?

All personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection regulations and deleted or blocked after the expiry of statutory retention periods. Your travel records will be available to you in the app under “My Bookings” > “Invoices” until the end of 2025.

If you want to delete your user account now, please download your records in advance. Then you can delete your profile under: “My Profile” > “Edit Profile” > “Delete Profile.”
