The Deutschland-Ticket is a season ticket that allows travel throughout Germany using all forms of public transport. It is a personalized ticket, valid only when accompanied by an official photo ID bearing the same name as on the ticket. The ticket grants second-class travel privileges and is not a monthly pass.

You can buy and use the Deutschland-Ticket in digital form via our goodride app. Our cooperation partner is the Stadtwerke Bonn Bus und Bahn – the tickets are issued by the Kölner Verkehrs-Betriebe AG (KVB).

The Deutschland-Ticket is valid throughout Germany on almost all local and regional transport (regular bus, TaxiBus, streetcar, S-Bahn, RRX, RB and RE) in second class.

Please be aware that the Deutschland-Ticket is not valid for long-distance buses or long-distance trains, such as the Intercity-Express (ICE), Intercity (IC), and Eurocity.

The Deutschland-Ticket costs 49 € per month.

The Deutschland-Ticket is a subscription, valid from the 1st calendar day of the specified month until 3:00 a.m. on the 1st calendar day of the following month.

Although the Deutschland-Ticket is primarily a subscription, you can opt for a one-month subscription. To do so, you must cancel your subscription in the app by the 10th of the current month for the subsequent month.

You will see two Deutschland-Tickets, because your ticket in the current month is already displayed for the following month, if you have not cancelled your subscription by the 10th in the current month.

Yes, you can subscribe to the Deutschland-Ticket on any day of the calendar month. However, during the first month, it is valid only until the end of that month. A new ticket will be issued for the next month and must be paid for.

Unfortunately, we are not yet able to display any reduced-price Deutschland-Tickets in our app. We will inform you as soon as we have new information.

Since the Deutschland-Ticket is a personalized ticket, it cannot be transferred to other individuals. The ticket can only be issued to the user registered in the app.

As a rule, the Deutschland-Ticket does not include the carriage of passengers or bicycles. It may be possible to book these additional services in the respective transport associations. Please contact your transport association for this. For the VRS area, you can buy an additional ticket for bicycle transport in our app.

As of now, the federal government has established the Deutschland-Ticket for a two-year period, subject to review before its expiration. After this, the federal and state governments will decide on the future of the Deutschland-Ticket.

The Deutschland-Ticket subscription can be canceled by the 10th day of the current month for the following month.

Please note that if you subscribe after the 10th day of the month, you will not be able to cancel for the following month, so your subscription will automatically renew for at least the following month.

To cancel your Deutschland-Ticket, follow these steps:

1. Open the goodride app and navigate to “My Profile.”
2. Proceed to “My Subscription” and then “Subscription Details.”
3. Tap on “Cancel subscription” to cancel your subscription.
