What is goodride?

goodride is the new mobility platform from Deutsche Telekom AG. Imagine being able to meet all your transportation needs with just one app. goodride is your gateway to a world without countless mobility apps and various tickets. Get informed, plan, book, travel, and pay—all in one place. And the best part? By using smart, eco-friendly modes of transportation, you’re actively contributing to protecting our planet. Our intermodal route planning helps you stay on top of every step—from door to door.

Where can I get the app?

If you haven’t already, download the goodride-app now and register under “My Profile.” Alternatively, update the app if needed, as we have just released a new version (4.2.3).

How do I create my customer account?

To create a goodride account, follow these steps:

  1. First, install the goodride app on your smartphone.
  2. Then, open the app and go to “My Profile.” Click the “Sign In/Register” button.
  3. In the next step, click “Register Now” and enter your email address and a password. Please note the password requirements (e.g., 12 characters).
  4. You will receive a verification link via email at the address you provided. Your user account will only be activated after you click this link.
  5. To make booking your transportation quick and easy later, it’s best to enter your details now. Click on the “Edit Profile” button. For booking, it is also necessary to enter your preferred payment method (PayPal or credit card) under “Payment.” Unfortunately, it is not possible to transfer an account from one of our mobility partners.
How can I book the free public transport ticket "Digital X - KombiTicket VRS" through goodride?

To book the free public transport ticket “Digital X – KombiTicket VRS,” first download the goodride app, register, and create your profile. For more information, see the question “How do I create my customer account?”

To book the ticket, follow these steps:

  • Go to “My Bookings”
  • Select “Buy Ticket”
  • In the ticket catalog, enter a starting stop within the VRS area (e.g., “Köln Hbf”)
  • Choose the “Digital X KombiTicket VRS”
  • Select your payment method and press “Continue”
  • Book your ticket by clicking “Book with payment obligation”

The ticket is only valid on the two trade fair days, September 18 and 19, 2024.

Where is the public transport ticket "Digital X - KombiTicket VRS" valid?

The public transport ticket “Digital X – KombiTicket VRS” is valid on September 18th and 19th, 2024, within the red dotted area of the VRS network:

How do I book a TIER e-scooter/bike or a nextbike bicycle with goodride?

Find an e-scooter or bicycle near you, or search for the nearest available vehicle on the goodride-map. Scan the vehicle’s QR code using the QR scanner in the map. The button is located at the bottom right in the goodride app. If you can’t find an available e-scooter or bicycle on the map, you may need to zoom in closer.

How can I redeem TIER and nextbike vouchers through goodride?

You can redeem the vouchers for TIER e-scooters and nextbike bikes exclusively through the goodride app, but not via the native TIER or nextbike app.

To redeem a voucher, follow these steps:

  • Find a scooter or bicycle near you and select it
  • Click on “Start Ride”
  • Select your payment method
  • Enter the voucher code and be sure to click on “Use”
  • Review and confirm the payment

The codes are only valid on the two trade fair days, September 18 and 19, 2024. Please note that each voucher can only be used once. Here is a detailed video tutorial for you.

Do I need to add a payment method to use the app?

Yes, to use the various mobility services through the goodride app, you must add a payment method. This is necessary to cover any costs beyond what the vouchers cover or in case you book additional rides.

What services are covered by the mobility vouchers?

At Digital X, you can redeem two vouchers worth €1 each for nextbike bicycles and two vouchers worth €3 each for TIER e-scooters/bikes. If you exceed the value of your voucher, the additional amount will be automatically charged to your registered payment method. If the fare is less than the voucher value, the remaining balance of the voucher will be forfeited.

The vouchers are personalized and cannot be transferred to other people.

How do I receive the vouchers for TIER and nextbike?

The vouchers will be sent via email to all registered participants of Digital X no later than two days before the event. The email will include a download link for the goodride app as well as instructions on how to redeem the vouchers.

Can I use the mobility vouchers after Digital X 2024?

The mobility vouchers are only valid during the period of Digital X 2024. They cannot be used after September 19, 2024.

Can I book multiple rides at the same time?

Unfortunately, this feature is not available in our app at the moment.

Are the vouchers limited to specific vehicles or routes?

The vouchers for TIER and nextbike can be used for any available vehicles from these providers in Cologne during Digital X. There are no restrictions on the routes you can take.

What happens if I exceed or fall short of the voucher value?

If you exceed the value of your voucher, the additional amount will be automatically charged to your registered payment method. If the fare is less than the voucher value, the remaining balance of the voucher will be forfeited.

Can I combine multiple vouchers?

It is not possible to combine multiple vouchers for a single ride. Each voucher is intended for a specific ride with TIER or nextbike.

How does the shuttle service work during Digital X?

In addition to the Digital X public transport ticket and the TIER and nextbike offerings, a shuttle service (Bimmelbahn) is also available to you. Information about the shuttle service stops and schedules can be found in the Digital X app.
